The Rockland Central School District seeks to gauge interest in an exciting four-week program at Frost Valley. This program will provide our students with adventure, learning, and personal growth opportunities in a stunning natural environment.
We understand that this summer, due to previously approved capital projects in both district buildings, we cannot hold our regularly scheduled four-week summer program.
If you would consider sending your child to participate, please complete the form at https://forms.gle/EWDVHzAu7ubofuLQ9 by Monday, March 31, at 5 p.m.
Students eligible to attend are those currently enrolled in grades PreK to 5th. The program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 30 to July 25 or July 28 to August 22. Students may attend one four-week session but not both.
Your feedback is vital as we explore this opportunity and determine if it aligns with our community's interests. For more information, visit the school’s website or social media page.

Hello, everyone! The Interact Club is hosting a Blood Drive this Wednesday, March 26th, from 2 to 6:30 pm in the gym. We have many open spots, especially between 4 and 6:30 pm. Donating blood is a powerful way to save lives, and we need just 15 more donors to reach our goal and secure a scholarship. Every donation counts, and with your help, we can make a significant impact. Thank you for your support!

Our kindergartners in the afterschool program had some fun on St. Patrick's Day by making a fruit rainbow.

The students are taking advantage of the beautiful sunny days by practicing math facts outside in one of the pictures. In the other picture, The third and fourth graders are practicing mindfulness with Jayne MacManus. She is working at LMCS through a grant funded by Sullivan 180 as one of Manor's wellness initiatives. #WellnessWednesday

A resounding congratulations to our NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Teams!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our Cheerleading, Girls Basketball, and Boys Basketball teams, who have demonstrated outstanding success both on the court and in the classroom.
These teams have earned this prestigious recognition by achieving an average GPA of 90.00 or higher for at least 75% of their roster, as required by the NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award.
Your commitment to academic and athletic excellence serves as an inspiration to us all. Keep up the tremendous work!

This year, we’re switching things up to celebrate our Livingston Manor-Roscoe student-athletes in a special way!
Instead of the usual two seasonal awards banquets, we’re hosting two distinct end-of-year athletic awards events. Mark your calendars: one for all junior varsity and modified athletes on June 3, and another for all varsity athletes on June 11.
Stay tuned for more details as the dates approach—we’ll keep you updated!

We are so proud of our student musicians who took part in the the Sullivan County Music Educators Association's All-County Music Festival on Friday and Saturday. Livingston Manor Central School was represented by 34 students throughout the Middle School Band, Junior High Band, High School Jazz, Elementary Chorus, and Senior High Mixed Chorus. Students participated in a four-hour rehearsal on Friday night, followed by several hours of rehearsal on Saturday. All of their hard work culminated on Saturday, with three outstanding concerts that took place that afternoon. Additionally, LMCS instrumental music teacher Dan Smith chaired the JH Concert Band. Way to go, Wildcats

Additionally, Varsity and Junior Varsity spring practices begin on Monday, March 17th. Modified spring sports practices for all teams will commence Monday, March 24th.

The FCCLA chapter at Livingston Manor has been involved in lots of wellness initiatives at our school. They are piloting a healthier birthday treat option in Mrs. Luning's fourth grade class. Students can now opt to have the blender bike, celebration cart or healthy treats baked by our very own FCCLA. This month's healthy treats included four full avocados in the recipe. The kids thought they were so good they were licking the wrappers clean! #WellnessWednesday

Through our ThoughtExchange platform, we have gathered valuable input from both the community and students, allowing us to narrow down the potential names for the newly merged school to three finalists.
From nearly 1000 community and students initial responses, the following three official school district names gathered the most support; Rockland Central School District, Twin Rivers Central School, and Livingston Manor-Roscoe Central School District.
We greatly appreciate your feedback in helping us select the new official name for our new district. Please choose your top preference by using the following address: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdKuyShCFFYjL-Qc-bfnQymNnMKfBleqAaz2_bQiplYFn-qsQ/viewform?usp=header

Read Across America week was full of fun, activities and, of course, reading. Guest readers came into various classrooms, including Miss Mavila's first grade classroom, where Val Taggart, a former art teacher at LMCS, also brought in color changing crocodiles, which went with their book. The district also hosted its annual "Snuggle Up and Read" event with a theme of Reading is a Blast, which complemented the book fair theme of "Blast off for Reading."
