Besides the usual pencil and paper type work, it's so very important to engage students' minds and creative ability as well as socialization skills as they work in teams to complete tasks. One of the big kindergarten goals is to have the children leave the k rooms knowing they can work with others, they can "think outside the box" and they learn through different types of activities. The "fun buckets" do just that. We change them up every couple of weeks as teams work through them in a fun, educational way.

Do you think gingerbread houses are only for Christmastime? Not here. Mrs. Carlson’s and Mrs. Bauer‘s second grade classes made Valentine's Day gingerbread houses earlier this month.

Jeans, T-shirts, work boots and hats are not acceptable attire.
