Uriel Cortes-Hidalgo and Osei Helper

Livingston Manor Central School recently announced its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2022

Uriel Cortes-Hidalgo, son of Yuriana Hidalgo and Jesus Arroyo, is the valedictorian. Uriel has maintained an A+ average, which has earned him multiple appearances on the Superintendent's Honor Roll and an LM Academic Letter Award. He is a member of the Elinor E. Decker Chapter of the National Honor Society and has received several academic awards. Uriel has participated in golf and soccer.  He enjoys hiking, cooking, soccer and listening to music and has spent time working locally in several restaurants in Sullivan County. Uriel is planning to attend SUNY at Buffalo to study biological sciences.

Osei Helper, son of Jamie and Courtney Helper, is salutatorian. Osei has maintained an A+ average, which has earned him multiple appearances on the Superintendent's Honor Roll and an LM Academic Letter Award.  Osei is an active member of his class, acting as treasurer, a member of the LM Rotary Interact Club and is treasurer and active member of the Elinor E. Decker Chapter of the National Honor Society. Osei has participated in varsity cheer and in varsity track, competing in the long jump, 200m, 400m and 4x1 Relay Team. His interests include martial arts, music, animal rights and veganism. When not participating in school activities, Osei has worked in several local businesses. Osei intends to go to SUNY Cortland to study exercise science and physical education.

Livingston Manor's graduation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, in the school gymnasium.
